Outlook users get the error "Cannot open Microsoft Outlook. Outlook window cannot be opened It is impossible to open the set of folders. Method 4: Repair Outlook Data File
Outlook stores data in data folders. These files can become corrupted. Outlook offers a tool called "ScanPST" to scan these files and repair them.

Method 5: Enabling cached swap mode
This method can only be used by exchange users.
- Click Start to search for Control Panel. Type Mail in the search box at the top of the page. Click on the Mail icon in search results. Click Data Files in the Mail setup window. Click Settings, then select Your Account.
- Check all boxes to enable cached exchange mode, download shared folders, and save public folder favorites. Close and test.
Method 6: Disable Lync at Startup
Lync, a business version for Skype, is available. It can often interfere with the Outlook application's most important features. In this step, Lync will be disabled at startup. We'll then open Outlook again. This is how it works:
Choose Task Manager from the list click on the "Startup” tab
